Abstract

 The study aimed to highlight the state of conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians over obtaining sovereignty in the city of Jerusalem. The study explained the various formal and informal Israeli procedures as well as the Palestinian procedures in the city. The researcher used the analytical approach and the legal approach.

Some results concluded by the study most importantly is the Israeli measures in the city of Jerusalem, after the 1948 war or the 1967 war, measures that violate international law and international legitimacy, as the occupied countries, although they lost control over their territory, the sovereignty remains in the occupied peoples until the region obtains its independence, and therefore all Israeli measures in Jerusalem are invalid, and the study recommends strengthening the steadfastness of Jerusalemites and preserving Palestinian properties there.
