Rules of Publication
Rules and Conditions for Publication in the Journal of Al-Mubadara for Human and Strategic Studies
Instructions for Researchers:
- The research should be characterized by originality, scientific and cognitive value, and language accuracy.
- The research should not be part of a pre-published research, and the researcher must submit a written statement that research has not been published or sent for publication in another journal, within the preparation of the publication request form.
- The research should be distinguished from any scientific thesis if it was taken from any, by adding new scientific knowledge, and attached with an electronic copy of the thesis, with reference on the first page of the research that it is extracted from a scientific thesis.
- The number of pages should be no more than 25 pages and no less than 15 pages, including figures, drawings, tables, pictures and references. As for the supplements, they are included after the list of references, knowing that the supplements are not published but are included for the purpose of arbitration.
- The research should not mention the name of the researcher or any reference to him in the body of the research, in order to ensure the confidentiality of the arbitration.
- The researcher must fill out the publication on the journal's electronic page, and adhere to the full accuracy of filling it out.
- The researcher should take into account the linguistic validity of the research and the punctuation marks.
Research Style:
Papers: (A4) size with dimensions of (29*21) cm.
Cover page: Write the research data with Arabic and English, containing (title, researcher name, information, and contacting data).
- Research title.
- Researcher’s triple name.
- City, country, and employer.
- Researcher’s E-mail.
The research should include a summary in Arabic and English that does not exceed (200) words each, making sure to write the title in the two languages and to follow with (Keywords) after each summary (with an emphasis on the specialization of the research) as not to exceed (5) words.
Margins: In Arabic: (3) cm up and down, (3) cm to the right side and (2.3) cm to the left. In English: (3) cm up and down, (2.3) cm to the right side and (3) cm to the left.
Space: Between lines: single space.
Fonts: From (Word 2010) programs under (Windows) system, as follows:
Arabic language: Simplified Arabic, font size 16 in bold for main title, 14 in bold for sub-titles, normal (12) for theh rest of texts and pages numbers, normal (11) for tables and figures, and normal (10) for the summary and margins.
English language: Times New Roman, font size (14) in bold for main title, (12) in bold for sub-titles, normal (12) for the rest of texts and pages numbers, normal (11) for tables and figures, and normal (10) for the summary and margins.
Citation: Sources and references are cited at the end of each page, only with author’s surname, book name (or part of it indicating it), the part (if any), page number. Full detailed data are written in the list of sources and references at the end of the research.
Research elements: Researcher organizes his/her research due to (Scientific Research Methodology), as follows:
- Introduction that includes: (research topic, its problem, limitations, goals, methodology, procedures, and research plan).
- Previous studies –if any– and his/her scientific addition to it.
- Dividing the research into connected (topics).
- Tackling a specific idea in each (topic), forming a part of the main idea of the research.
- Writing the research with elaborate scientific formulation, free of linguistical and grammatical errors, and with preciseness in citation.
- Conclusion with brief summary that includes the most important results and recommendations.
- Resources and references list.
- Graphs and figures are inserted in the text in black and white and numbered sequentially. Their names and explanatory notes (the source, if any) are written at the bottom.
- Tables are inserted in the text and numbered sequentially. Names are written on the top of them and explanatory notes, (the source of any) are written under the table.
General rules:
- Research are received in the Arabic, English and Malay languages.
- All research sent to the journal are subject to a preliminary examination by the journal’s editorial board, in order to determine the research’s eligibility for arbitration, and it has the right to apologize for not accepting the research with an explanation of the reasons.
- Research undergoes a review by two peer experts specialized in the research topic. The research owner is notified of its acceptance or provided with the feedback from the review. Reasons for rejecting unacceptable research are also demonstrated to the researchers.
- In case that the arbitrators disagree about a research, the research is sent to a third arbitrator to resolve the difference between the first two.
- The materials submitted for publication express the opinions of their authors, who are responsible for the correctness and accuracy of the information and conclusions.
- All rights are reserved to the author, and when the research is accepted for publication, the ownership of the publication is transferred from the author to the magazine.
- The arrangement of materials upon publication is subject to technical considerations, which have nothing to do with the status of the researcher or the value of the work.
- Compliance with these instructions means speed of achievement and achieving the interest of the researcher, knowing that breaching them means delaying the research until the completion of what is required.
- The journal does not receive any fees for publication of research.
