Abstract

This study seeks to examine variations in both the form and substance of content in relation to the targeted audience, through an analysis of the content published by three official Israeli accounts on the social networking platform X (Formerly Twitter): the Arabic-language account “Israel in Arabic,” the Hebrew-language account “ישראל – Israel,” and the French-language account “Ambassade d'Israël en France.” The study identifies the principal differences in language use, persuasive strategies, and news framing, concluding that Israeli hasbara (public diplomacy) has intentionally adapted and calibrated its narrative regarding the events of the first three days of “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” in accordance with the messages it sought to imprint upon each target audience.
